The 21st Century Violin Student Program was created in 2006 by the Treasure Coast Symphony. The program gives young people the opportunity to play a string instrument. All the violins and instructional materials are donated to the students to make this program possible.

Our violin instructor is Sarah Bartal. She is a life long learner of music. As a child she studied piano, organ, and flute. When in high school, Sarah began studying the harp. Sarah earned a BS in Music Education at Clearwater Christian College. Currently a teacher at Barnabas Christian Academy, she is instructing music (K - 12), develops the Fine Arts program, and teaches private music lessons for the academy and church. A member of Port St. Lucie Bible Church, Sarah directs the adult and children's choirs and also plays the harp for the Treasure Coast Symphony.

After completing their lessons for the season, the 21st Century Violin Students perform a piece with the symphony during our April concert.
